Archives For Passages from the Past

-10 years ago to the day

-Pull the staple out of my eye while continuous glitches of bad days turning into bad dreams flow on. Beating temples and beating hearts, both consequences of a Saturday evening no one wants to remember, steal away your breath. There’s no answer, no explanation to why there’s a bad memory for every calendar day, just boxes filled with broken remnants that resemble each one. Monday was a broken lampshade and Tuesday, the lamp. Not consecutive days, it just happened to work that way. Two bottles wer broken on a Wednesday, no one knows why the glass was saved but it’s in a box in the closet labeled Wednesday. I believe a hand was broken Thursday. We split the pain meds.
